Waaaaaaaaaay overrated. Natalie Portman's character was kind of interesting, but not really fleshed out enough to make me care. Did anyone actually think he was going to leave her at the end? I mean, seriously, why can't movies make more of an effort to not be so predictable?
It did make me really itchy to get the hell out of Jersey though. And it had a good soundtrack.

Suuuuuuuuuucked. The acting was pretty bad, the story was confusing, the resolution was stupid, and also IT MADE NO SENSE. If you're making a movie about a fucked-up timeline, at least make an effort to stick to it! God.
On the plus side, the husband actually dying almost made the movie worth it, cos I always WANT that to happen and it never does.
But no, the movie still sucked.

Gretchen was very upset that I hadn't seen this before, so we had a movie night on Saturday. It was funny and I'm glad we watched it, but I don't know if I'd put it anywhere near my Top Five (which is where Gretchen keeps it- I know!).
It has a weirdly deep story though, so it feels like you're watching two completely different movies. Still, super-funny and random movie.

I only watched half of this. I've been holding onto the dvd for a month, because I kept telling myself I had to watch it. But you know what? Fuck it. The book was kind of boring (but worth it for the ending, which was just perfect) and I can't be arsed to subject myself to that in movie form.
From what I saw and what I remember, this was a pretty good representation of the book. Everything was actually how I pictured it, and I may have enjoyed it if I had all the time in the world to sit around and watch movies.
I would definitely recommend either reading the book or watching the movie, but once you've sat through one, I don't think there's a need to sit through the other in this case.

What does it say about me that I went back and forth between two lines of thought for the entire movie? The first was that Edward Norton and Brad Pitt should make out, which, seriously, they should have. The second had two parts: first of all, everyone who thinks Edward Norton would make a good Edward (AB:VH) is a flipping moron, and second of all, Brad Pitt would be goddamn amazing as Eddie, which I had already suspected, but this movie just confirmed it. Oh Brad Pitt. Plz call me and offer to be in my movie.
ANYWAY. I liked this movie. The last...half hour or so didn't really work for me, but the rest was awesome. It was so fast-paced and dark and perfect, and then the end! All I wanted was to go to bed, which was partly my own fault, but this movie is fucking long, and I wasn't expecting it to take forever to watch. And since I had already figured out the split personality thing, I just didn't care.
The rest though! I really loved the entire thing, up til about the start of Project Mayhem, I guess. I loved the fight clubs, and watching the narrator's life change, and just. Everything. Loved it. I kind of want to watch it again, maybe with the commentary, but whatever, because I know I'll just turn it off once it gets to the boring part.
And the very end, well, that was more of a personal problem, in that trying to kill myself and failing is one of my biggest fears. Can you really shoot yourself in the face and then talk about it? For the love of all that is holy, please tell me no.

Ahahahahahaha. I love stupid boys doing stupid things for the sole purpose of making me laugh, so I clearly loved this movie.
I can't really say if it was better than the first one (since I've only watched it while totally drunk, heh), but it was way better than the show. More stunts + less Bam being annoying = AWESOME. And they made him cry TWICE. It was like my dream come true!
I could watch this shit all day, heeeeeeeeeee.
Also, I'm still totally in love with Ryan Dunn. Oh man.

I really wanted to like this. Gretchen made me put it at the top of my list, cos it's one of her all-time favorites. I've heard nothing but good things about it. And it has Ewan *and* a kick-ass soundtrack!
Well. I liked it, but I didn't really love it. I think if I had seen it, oh, three years ago? It would have been the default movie of my soul. I would have been obsessed! But I'm past that stage in life now, so I'll have to stick to merely liking it.
Also, in all seriousness, unless you're Ewan McGregor and it's 1996, put the motherfucking skinny jeans down. Jesus.
