With that said, when he brought the orphans into the theater, I kind of lost it. Not only was that a brilliant marketing campaign, it was also incredibly sweet and awesome.
And the kids! The Davies boys? Freaking amazing. And of course, two of my favorite actors (Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet). AND two of my favorites from POTC!! Oh man.
So yeah, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
And all of the Scottish accents definitely didn't hurt. Heh.
It wasn't as good as the first season, but it was still pretty damn entertaining. I wish the arc had been spread out better (and thought out better- what happened to the class warfare?), but the writing was still good and the acting was still great so whatever, I'm happy and super-excited for s3.
It's really not a secret that I love Sarah Silverman and think she's fucking hilarious. Or that my friends and I have been sort of obsessed with her ever since we watched Pamela Anderson's Roast every night for like, a month. Her jokes are great, but her delivery and mannerisms are what make her hilarious. The woman keeps a straight face like you wouldn't believe!
I just really wish I had watched this with my friends while drinking, but alone and sober, it was still pretty damn good.
(Except my favorite comedian at Open Mic Night at the Stress Factory totally ripped off one of her bits, which makes me sad.)
Also, "I Love You More" is ridiculously catchy and so wrong that it's right. Heeheehee.
Unsurprisingly, I loved it. Awesome cast, great writing, and, I don't know, but it's a Sorkin show and it's got a bunch of my favorite actors in it so YAY. I'll definitely be watching this in the fall.
